How I Help

I offer specialized Individual Counselling services in Port Alberni, BC, and online, designed to meet the unique needs of adults. My approach is informed by a deep understanding of how early attachment challenges, epigenetics, and the nervous system influence overall well-being.

Expressive/Play Therapy

I use expressive/play therapy to help clients, especially children, communicate emotions and experiences through art and play, fostering healing, self-discovery, and emotional growth in a safe, creative environment.

Attachment-Based Therapy

I offer attachment-based therapy to help clients explore and strengthen their relationships by understanding attachment patterns, fostering secure connections, and promoting emotional well-being in a supportive environment.

NMT

I utilize the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics to map brain and nervous system development, helping clients understand and address behaviors, and facilitating targeted interventions for healing and growth.

EMDR

I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process trauma, reduce emotional distress, and promote healing by targeting the root causes of anxiety, PTSD, and other challenges.

ART

I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients quickly and effectively resolve trauma, anxiety, and other emotional challenges through guided eye movements and visualizations, promoting lasting healing.

ASIST

I provide support using Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) to help individuals at risk of suicide, offering compassionate, evidence-based interventions to ensure safety and foster hope.

I incorporate the San'yas Anti-Racism Indigenous Cultural Safety Training into my practice to provide culturally sensitive support, promoting understanding and respect in working with Indigenous clients and communities.
